Dimo – Search

Dimo Search is optimised to the needs of publishers looking to get to the Title, Author or Supplier they need quickly.

Title Search

You can search for a title one of two ways.

1. Use the search bar at the top of the screens
2. Book Search option in left hand corner

When searching for a title you need to use full words in any combination.

When searching for a title it will search for an ISBN, Title and any previous title. If there is more than one result it will show you a list of all search results.

If there is only one search result it will take you straight to the book summary screen to get you to the information you need quicker.

Author and Agents Search

Author Search is available from the top left hand corner

You can enter in the first or last name. Names must be entered in full and complete. If you have automated feeds loading from other publishers Authors that are automatically created will also appear here.

The authors listed will also have titles that they relate to, this allows you to quickly check you are connecting to the right Author.

When you have the author you want click on the author to see the author details including phone, email and address information.

Supplier Search

Suppliers are any people that are involved in putting together the book. A supplier in Dimo could be one of the following;

• A contact person for a book such as a proof reader or designer
• A printer
• An Author that we pay royalties too
• Any supplier that we interact with

You will see a separate supplier entry for each supplier / type combination. e.g. if you have a supplier who is a designer contact and also a editor you would see two entries.

In many cases your system maybe automatically updated from an external integration such as MYOB, Bookmaster or Filemaker.
